farmweddingSan Juan Island is a beautiful place to hold a wedding ceremony, whether you are planning an intimate affair or plan to invite many guests. Your wedding ceremony could take place at the sea shore, in a forest glen, the formal gardens of one of our resorts or in fields of lavender. The Island also hosts quaint chapels, and it’s even possible to hold your ceremony in our lighthouse or on a Washington State ferry.

I believe that every wedding ceremony should reflect the wishes and beliefs of the couple getting married. As I have been ordained in both traditional and non-traditional ministries, I am comfortable performing any kind of ceremony the bride and groom wish to have, be it sacred or secular.

The bride and groom might also choose to incorporate one of several “ceremonies within a ceremony,” such as the unity candle ceremony, colored sand ceremony or a love letter/wine box ceremony. Numerous examples and variations of each of these ceremonies can be found on the Internet, along with a wide variety of vendors who carry the items used in these ceremonies. Ring warming and Hand-fasting ceremonies are also popular.
