Rev. Richard Hooper

Rev. Richard Hooper is a former Lutheran pastor and present Interfaith minister who holds graduate degrees in both theology and the philosophy of world religions.  He has been a life-long lay scholar in the areas of the historical Jesus, early Christianity, Gnosticism and world religions.

Rev. Hooper is the founder of Sanctuary Publications and The Sedona Institute for Comparative Religion.  He is author of The Crucifixion of Mary Magdalene; The Gospel of the Unknown Jesus; Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Lao Tzu: the Parallel Teachings; Hymns to the Beloved: the Poetry, Prayers and Wisdom of the World’s Great Mystics; The Real Secrets of Christianity (eBook) and End of Days: Predictions of the End from  Ancient Sources.

Richard Hooper is an associate member of the Jesus Seminar, and member of the Order of Universal Interfaith (OUnI) as well as the Community of the Mystic Heart (CMH).

He lives in Sedona, Arizona with his wife, Sharon.
